We have an opening for a Director of Sales (DOS), New Business. This individual will lead a sales team to achieving the budgeted sales quota for the year. Also, this individual will directly supervise a team of 5+ Account Development Executives.Other objectives of the Director of Sales: monitor performance, achieve financial goals, develop, motivate and counsel staff, foster a collaborative environment, provide feedback information about market conditions and plan sales strategy per quarter to achieve fiscal year goals. Also, this DOS will be accountable for working with current and competitive accounts, hiring and building a successful sales team, and directing/managing staff performance. Lastly, this Director will handle customer issues and satisfaction, and assist in driving efforts to increase client retention.This position leads a team covering the Western part of the US and living in this part of the country is required. QUALIFICATIONS4 year college degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 6-8 years of related experience in leading a quota-exceeding outside b2b sales huntersExtensive experience in automotive industryDemonstrated track record of success in a solutions selling environment7-9 months of job related formal Sales training1-3 years of outside B2B sales/including new business developmentSKILLSDemonstrated ability to lead and work within a multi-functional team environment, with a strong track record of delivering measurable resultsExcellent verbal/written communication skills, including the ability to make effective presentations to a variety of senior level audiencesDemonstrated ability to make meaningful recommendations to senior management regarding the strategic direction of the sales organization, including the ability to make tough recommendationsExcellent work ethic, with ability to succeed in a competitive, high-performance work environmentBe a self-starter, able to work independently and collaborativelyAbility to travel approximately 75% is requiredQuota at 100% or more every yearEXPECTATIONSUtilize Sales Automation tools to define market penetration. Identify and target Competitive Prospects and Plan Strategy to increase the DMS Market share and Strategic DMS Agnostic products.Execute sales strategy to systematically and consistently engage in sales processes in these identified accounts and bring sales processes to successful closure. Successful closure will include the sale of CDK DMS and the displacement of the competitive DMS as well as the displacement of as many competitive ancillary products and services a CDK Solution can displace. Minimally achieve your annual assigned QC Sales Plan.Utilize all resources at your disposal with particular emphasis on the inclusion of all Channel partners. Utilize salesforce.com and the sales automation tools to effectively manage a robust pipeline and provide accurate weekly forecasting to your Director of Sales. Understand your competition and aggressively and proactively attack their base. Communicate daily with channel partners and Director and participate in all team meetings and conference calls.Salary: $130,000 - $185,000 + Commissions + Benefits CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
