Milton Town School District seeks to fill a middle school-level behavior interventionist position for a student-centered, skilled Behavior Interventionist to support emotional regulation, social cognition, and academics. This will be for the remainder of this 2023-2024 school year. The successful candidates will have the ability:

* To work as a member of a team that employs restorative approaches in processing student behavior, repairing harm, and teaching pro-social problem-solving skills and/or
* To implement behavior intervention plans, collect and analyze data, and provide targeted interventions.
* Collaborate with professionals, including our behavior coach, special educators, guidance counselor, and classroom teachers. An advocate of inclusive education, a strong collaborator, and a problem solver are essential.
* Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families.

Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor's degree, two or more years of similar experience, and an overall background in special education or behavioral support. Expertise in the following areas will also be considered: CPI, LSCI, or other verbal de-escalation techniques, MTSS-B, and implementing different tiers of behavior support and social cognition / social thinking group facilitation. The hours are 7.5 hours per day and 37.5 hours per week. Benefits include health insurance, dental, and life insurance. The pay range is $18.50 to $25.00 based on experience and education level.
