Behavior Interventionist

Milton Town School District is seeking a student-centered and skilled behavior interventionist to provide support within our student support department for Kindergarten through 8th-grade students in emotional regulation, social cognition, and academics. The successful candidate will be able to implement behavior intervention plans, collect and analyze data, and provide targeted specific interventions in collaboration with professionals, including our behavior coach, special educators, guidance counselor, and classroom teachers. Being an advocate of inclusive education, a strong collaborator, and a problem solver is essential.

Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor's degree, two or more years of similar experience, and an overall background in special education or behavioral support. Expertise in the following areas will also be considered: CPI, LSCI, or other verbal de-escalation techniques, MTSS-B, and implementing different tiers of behavior support and social cognition / social thinking group facilitation.
