Our values – integrity, inclusion, teamwork, accountability and excellence – are evident in everything we do.Gilead is seeking a dynamic leader to lead its U.S. revenue accounting.Essential Responsibilities: Oversee the U.S. revenue accounting close and reporting process Provide guidance, business partnering or decision support on complex revenue related transactions or new product launchesMonitor regulatory or business changes and address impacts to revenue accounting operationsMaintain and/or develop policy, procedures or internal control analysis documents leading to effective and efficient financial reporting process and controlsCollaborate with cross-functional business partners to identify continuous improvement opportunities and/or optimize revenue accounting operationsLead, manage and/or develop a high-performing team where inclusion and diversity of thought are leveraged for innovation and continuous improvementCoordinate and manage internal and external audits and reviewsLead/support other company and/or CFO organization initiative and projectsKnowledge, Experience and SkillsImportant skills, capabilities and prior experience requirements include:BA/BS degree and 14+ years of relevant experience. 12+ years of relevant experience with an MS/MA or MBAExperience in revenue accounting, in a commercial stage life sciences company preferredAbility to combine business acumen and U.S. GAAP knowledge to provide sound advice to business partners and senior managementPeople management experience with proven ability to attract, retain and develop teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and organizational skillsAbility to collaborate with and/or lead cross-functional business partnersResults orientation: The ideal candidate will be results-driven and must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentCPA is required with a combination of Big 4 CPA and hands-on operational experience strongly preferredExperience working with SAP and related analytical applications is a plusThe salary range for this position is: $237,660.00 - $307,560.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
