CALL CENTER REPRESENTATIVE

We are seeking an energetic and reliable professional to join our team as a Call Center Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for answering incoming patient calls, utilizing company policies to solve patient issues and directing calls to the appropriate department when necessary. Our Call Center Representatives are often the first point of contact for our patients, so we are interested in hiring individuals with a commitment to patient satisfaction and an ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
Responsibilities include:
- Answering patient calls to learn about and address their needs and transferring them to the appropriate department
- Responding efficiently and accurately to patients, explaining possible solutions, and ensuring that patients feel supported and valued
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Engaging in active listening to callers, confirming or clarifying information as needed
- Utilizing software, databases, scripts, and tools appropriately
- Understanding and striving to meet or exceed call center metrics while providing excellent consistent customer service
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures
Requirements
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of healthcare experience preferred
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Work independently
- Manage multiple priorities
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Experience with high patient volume
- Excellent telephone etiquette and manner, and ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to exercise tact under pressure
- Ability to work in a team environment and effectively contribute as a member of a team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Full-Time Position.
Hours are Monday 7:30am-5:00pm, Tuesday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-1pm
Work Location: Carnes Crossroads, Summerville SC.
