Aevex stands as a leader in aerospace conversion work, headquartered in the vibrant hub of Murrieta, CA. Within their cutting-edge aircraft hangars, they orchestrate transformative projects that redefine the possibilities of aircraft modification.Their specialized team excel in crafting tailored solutions, homing in on the unique needs of each client. For their engineers, this means more than just a job—it’s an immersive experience. From leading the design and structural analysis in the initial stages of modification to seeing the finished aircraft soar into the skies, their engineers are part of every step of the journey.Essential Functions of the Manager of Structures EngineeringManages design and stress analyst staff. Provides engineering direction, from conceptual design development through completion of project detailed design & analysis.Review engineering designs, drawings & reports and ensure they are FAA (or other cognizant airworthiness authority) and/or commercial requirements compliant.Interfaces with the Director of Certification to support Supplemental Type Certificates and/or other regulatory or commercial programs.Qualifications and Competencies of the Manager of Structures EngineeringBachelor of Science, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering. Minimum of 10 years of aircraft structural substantiation experience including Finite Element Analysis (NASTRAN FEMAP), traditional hand calculations & report writing.Familiarity with aircraft engineering resources such as MMPDS, Bruhn, Roark, etc.Familiarity with both airframe modifications and new airframe design with knowledge of 14 CFR Part 23 & 25 designs, construction & structures regulations.Must be a US CitizenWhy usCompetitive Salary of $145,000-$180,000Work on exciting projects, delivering customized solutions tailored to the unique needs of each customer, program, and project, modifying existing aircraft.Competitive benefits including 15 days PTO, 401 (k)-retirement plan, comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life insurance group coverage among others.The ideal Manager of Structures Engineering should have hands-on technical experience with an FEA Engineering background and leadership experience.
