Endeavor Health Services is looking for an experienced and organized onsite Bookkeeper to join our team. This crucial role involves managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Excellence in this position requires a thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and a firm grasp of accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in all financial record-keeping.

As our bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. You will be responsible for performing accounting duties such as reconciling General Ledger accounts, recording journal entries, and assisting with the preparation of monthly reports. You must be comfortable working with numbers, have good problem-solving skills, and have a clear understanding of accounting principles. Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of journal entries.
  • Calculation and recording of prepaid expense amortizations.
  • Determination and booking of fixed assets depreciation (we use straight line).
  • Account reconciliations.
  • General ledger account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Prepare bank deposits, deliver to near-by bank when necessary.
  • Set up and maintain spreadsheets using minimum intermediate Excel skills.
  • Assist Controller with monthly closings and ad-hoc projects (we will train).
  • Function as a back-up for Accounts Payable when needed (we will train).

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree in Accounting or Business Administration and at least 1-3 years of experience in accounting/finance
  • Excel proficiency minimum at intermediate level.
  • Detailed-oriented, organized, proactive, eager to learn, and conscious of the importance of time management and meeting deadlines.
  • Prior basic experience with any accounting software: journal entries, GL, running reports, downloading information, etc. (we will train in our software).
  • Experience with not-for-profit entities or healthcare a plus (not required).
