Summary You will serve as a Small Business Program Deputy in the Command Small Business Program Office, Executive Department, C1100 of PSNS and IMF. Duties * You will establish management, business, and contracting policies, guidelines, and systematic continuous measurement processes. * You will represent the command in Small Business outreach events and serve as the single point of contact for the Command on all small business matters. * You will evaluate external directives for management, business, and contracting impact on the program. * You will develop small business program targets within the command and negotiate these targets with higher authority. * You will develop training materials, courses, and tools required to implement management, business and contracting systems for a wide audience to support the Small Business Program. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. * This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field C Level III. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment. * Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs. * This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing advice and guidance to contracting officers and project acquisition teams regarding policies and procedures to plan, implement, and manage the Small Business Program.
