  • Job functions include the following:
  • -You will perform structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities.
  • -You will perform airfield firefighting by involving air traffic or support operations where hazardous conditions are.
  • -You will operate a variety of firefighting equipment.
  • -You will perform hazard and risk assessment techniques in completing initial incident analysis.
  • -You will initiate established medical protocols in providing basic life support.


Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • You will be required to wear a uniform and use all safety apparel in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • This position requires the employee to work under adverse environmental conditions and will fall under the respiratory protection program and hearing conservation program.
  • Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.
  • You will be required to be certified and maintain certification in CPR and First Aid.
