Duties * You will be responsible for the direction, integration, and coordination of the Department's Nuclear Material Support Program. * You will manage a full spectrum of activities associated with the nuclear material support for the Shipyard and Special Material Identification Code material for the fleet. * You will be responsible for the administrative tracking of numerous control processes such as manager storage data, quality analysis, and the monitoring of cost and schedule data. * You will be responsible for the Defective Material Summary (DMS) Program at the Shipyard. You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs. * Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101. * This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. * This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: * Experience monitoring all aspects of nuclear material acquisition and making readjustments of resources to achieve defined goals. * Experience influencing negotiations of alternative courses of action for the resolution of conflicts with key personnel involved in nuclear material support. * Experience managing a full spectrum of activities associated with the nuclear material support for the Shipyard and Special Material Identification Code (SMIC) material for the fleet. * Experience ensuring adequate planning, scheduling and material support are provided for nuclear work. * Experience directing nuclear support functions in various areas that are assigned to manage nuclear material support work. * Experience confirming that adequate manpower resources, training, technical work procedures and equipment are provided to support material management and acquisitions.
