Description:

The Sr Manager is responsible for the development, delivery, and management of Strategic Solutions and supporting

programs within defined business segments. This person will own all aspects of a solution offering, from

inception to end of life. They will be integrally involved in interaction with sales, partners, stakeholders, and other

members of cross-functional teams. Solution projects are typically of high complexity or risk and have high visibility in

the organization. The Sr Manager will often work on projects consisting of emerging and/or highly customized

technology and will need to create new services and offerings as part of the Strategic Solution build process.

This position often works with mixed teams with multiple practice/solution areas and complex systems integration

which could include multiple Service areas and third-party vendors. The Sr Manager acts as project advocate

ensuring success for all stakeholders by driving for results, making the tough call, and building strong relationships

with project stakeholders.

• Leads efforts to continuously define, contribute and to improve our overall solution management knowledge

base. Develops standards, best practices, and training for team members.

• Establishes and owns program communication plan for all stakeholders and work streams.

• Leads, coordinates & assimilates cross-team communication and information and distills the information for

the appropriate stakeholders. Integrates new information on the fly, synthesizes the information and charts

a new course as appropriate.

• Has clear and concise communication. Leads and facilitates both live and virtual meetings. Keeps meetings

on track, on topic and summarizes assigns and publishes follow up items in a timely manner.

• Adapts communication style and medium to the audience needs, up to and including executive level.

• Defines strategy and content for formal presentations. Creates talking points and strategic messaging.

• Uses political savvy and all channels of communication to finesse key messaging.

• Prepares and provides various reports and reviews to leadership and stakeholders as requested.

Other Responsibilities

• Reviews and evaluates solution ideas. Ability to appropriately prioritize based on effort, impact, and alignment

to company objectives. Timely communication with key stakeholders on analysis and feedback of solution

opportunities.

• Understands the technology landscape, customer needs, and market trends to determine fit and scalability of

solutions.

• Validates initial solution scope and estimates. Understands and articulates the impact of project changes on

the solution and timelines. Influences and makes program recommendations at executive stakeholder level.

Sets strategy for minimizing impact and risk due to project changes.

• Determines the customer journey, and the supporting internal process flow, then identifies and prioritizes

supporting needs by department.

• Will manage a core team of non-direct reports across multiple disciplines. Responsible for keeping the team on

task and on time, and ensuring that projects are completed effectively and efficiently.

• Accountable for Strategic Solution financials. Tracks multiple budgets, consolidates and summarizes for

executive stakeholders. Understands budget to actual variations for solution phases, makes recommendations

and adjustments. Tracks solution costs, revenue, and margins against targets. Addresses financial warnings

and mitigates the effect. Understands the economics of financial decisions across the portfolio and its impact to the client.

Forecasts sales volumes, and proactively manages measurable solution goals.

• Gathers, synthesizes, and summarizes key information, including market and competitive analysis, industry

research, solution build needs, and KPIs for executive alignment on all solution designs.

• Identifies, evaluates, and makes recommendation on build options, including internal investments, third-party

partners, and acquisition/joint ventures.

• Leads the build of new solutions, creating and managing timelines, resources, and workflow.

• Aligns all dependencies from program work streams. Proactively conducts resource planning and optimizing

schedules, monitoring, and adjusting assignments as necessary. Acts as an escalation point to address

resource constraints to minimize impact to the program. Negotiates conflicts of resources and priorities across

departments.

• Proactively manages delays to schedule to overcome potential obstacles and keep the project on track.

• Oversees implementation of go-to-market strategy, optimizes sales enablement and marketing approach,

tracks progress, provides regular updates, and ensures all milestones and timelines are met.

• Responsible for solution performance, proactively adjusts strategy to drive revenue and profitability, secures

funding and resources to drive success.

• Maintains continuous alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives. Makes recommendations

to modify the program to enhance effectiveness toward the business results or strategic intent.

• Identifies opportunities to capture new business and revenue streams. Designs ongoing incentives,

enablement and incentive activities, and marketing efforts to boost awareness and utilization of the solutions.

• Creates recommended goals and forecasts, monitors results to plan, identifies areas of opportunity and white

space, develops and implements activities to achieve and exceed goal.

• Acts as subject matter expert for the solution, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on initiatives

and activities while promoting the value of the solution.

• Routinely gathers feedback from customers and internal stakeholders, reviews industry information, monitors

the competitive environment, and proactively makes solution adjustments based on analysis.

• Drives digital and segment-specific approach, aligning with sales, digital, and ITS stakeholders to create an

omnichannel approach.

• Articulates and summarizes program and highlights the business impact and value. Produces project summary

reports for executives. Interfaces regularly with executives on the status and issues of the projects. Is seen as

a “Trusted Advisor” by executives and intimately knowledgeable about their business.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years Sales/Marketing/Project Management experience, OR

• 9 years' experience in Sales/Marketing/Project Management, OR

• 4 years PPM experience and 5 years' experience in Sales/Marketing/Project Management

Required Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders, up

to and including executive level.

• Demonstrated strong financial and analytical skills.

• Ability to develop trusted relationships (internal and external) at all levels in an organization with a proven track

record of high satisfaction ratings from internal stakeholders.

• Proven collaboration and teaming skills.

• Strong understanding of the dynamics of cross-functional teams, with the ability to creatively problem solve.

• Understanding/Appreciation of maintaining confidentiality.

• Well-organized with the ability to prioritize project work.

• Must work proactively and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direction.

• Proven track record in developing and/or marketing product lines with the ability to manage products through

their lifecycle, customer engagement scenarios, and product positioning issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA Preferred.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

• Five or more years’ experience in leading significant and complex technology projects across a variety of

solution areas.

• Deep knowledge of corporate departments, responsibilities, and processes.

• Experience managing and leading risk management activities on projects.
