Senior Program Manager

The MCS Post Service Team at Blue Shield of CA oversees and manages vendor relationships to provide high-quality care and services. As a Senior Program Manager, you will report to the Program and Project Senior Manager. In this role, you will provide compliance oversight, updates, and contract adherence while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
Your Work
In this role, you will:
1. Provide overall program leadership, guidance, and manage all aspects of a given program, including contract, budget, reporting, operations, and vendor oversight.
2. Develop strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and day-to-day operational activities, including daily oversight and auditing of contract, processes, invoices, and outcomes.
3. Review program budget variance and scope change requests, and participate in the budget-resolution process.
4. Lead cross-functional meetings and foster teamwork; drive escalation and resolution of issues, while promoting collaboration and coordination across broad categories of stakeholders.
5. Support and collaborate with subject matter experts while providing technical expertise in planning, execution, and leadership of programs, projects, and initiatives.
6. Write and maintain processes and procedures to ensure compliance.
Your Knowledge and Experience
This role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. At least 5 years of prior relevant experience are required. A Master's degree is desired. Health care or health plan experience is desired. Program, project, and vendor management experience is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are preferred. A collaborative, results-oriented mindset is preferred.
Pay Range
The pay range for this role is: $ 87,230.00 to $ 130,900.00 for California. Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location, and current employee salaries for similar roles.
