Responsibilities: 

  • Directly responsible for leading the Distribution personnel in the day-to-day job duties
  • Following direction of the Distribution Manager ensuring product loads follow Butterball policies and procedures
  • Responsible for coordinating with Distribution Manager, Inventory Control, and various other areas to ensure product flow and safety
  • Responsible for general up-keep and housekeeping of the Distribution areas during the work shift
  • Required to have a good working knowledge of Safety policies and procedures
  • Responsible for making sure product is loaded and shipped correctly in the designated time frame

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • 3 years of relevant work experience in Shipping, Storage or Warehouse setting
    • 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
    • Experience operating a forklift required
    • General knowledge in Shipping/Storage/Warehousing HACCP and or USDA policies
    • Must have a high energy level and ability to work varying shift hours
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and critical thinking skills to prioritize workload and delegate responsibilities as needed
    • Decisive leader with strong interpersonal skills and is adept at leading and motivating
    • Knowledge of workplace safety rules
    • General computer skills
    • Working knowledge of the following technical systems preferred: SAP, AS-400, Kronos, WMS, LEAN LOGISTICS and Microsoft Office Suite
