We have a career growth opportunity for an onsite Senior Tech Support Engineer to join our diverse team supporting Airborne Multi-mode Radar (AMR) Test Automation in direct support of the McKinney Consolidated Manufacturing Center in McKinney, TX.  


The Test Automation Department (TAD) is responsible for the design and development of test equipment hardware and software for a wide range of products and customers. The AMR Test Automation section within TAD is a growing and highly motivated team who consistently provides quality on-time on-cost solutions to support external and internal customers seeking innovative and economical solutions for their product lines. The section also supports change incorporation and obsolescence redesign efforts of various legacy systems in direct support of production capabilities.

What You Will Do

  • Build Test Equipment, circuit boards, and cables
  • Troubleshoot
  • Track asset’s calibration across various Airborne Multi-mode Radars (AMR) programs. 

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in an electronic test environment
  • Experience building test consoles, test adapters, and/or test cables
  • Experience in the development of test procedures
  • Experience in the troubleshooting of RF equipment, circuit boards, and cables
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Ability to help test engineers solve technical issues
  • Ability to independently learn new test equipment with minimum engineering oversite

The salary range for this role is 48,000 USD - 116,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
