The Advanced Radar Products Department empowers people to deliver innovative, affordable and producible products and technologies to support airborne Radar solutions throughout the full product lifecycle while remaining accountable for program execution cost, schedule, and performance. We provide best in industry technologies that align product capabilities to the needs of our customers and end- users. As an Electrical Engineer II, you will be part of a team of highly talented engineers that work on highly complex RADAR products and testsets for the SVMR Program. You will be working as a member of a production support team and under the guidance of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead in McKinney, Texas.

What You Will Do

  • Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to circuit card assembly (CCA)/Module and component levels to include analog/digital//power circuitry and interfaces.
  • Troubleshooting testsets down to component level to include analog and digital interfaces. Includes software.
  • Resolution of issues on production line testsets in NTX and other sites outside of NTX– travel may required.
  • Work in a team environment to assure the production and sustainment turnaround time is met.
  • Analysis of test data of products to make sure test specifications are met.
  • Reading and interpreting and applying engineering drawings, including assembly drawings, parts lists, wire lists, and schematics.
  • Travel 5-10% of your time

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
  • Two years of relevant experience with any combination of the following:
    • Experience with electronics and electrical circuits.
    • Experience isolating failures to root cause.
    • Experience with reading & interpreting drawings and electrical schematics.
    • Experience with Electrical Engineering lab equipment such as multimeters, signal sources, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Experience on supplier engagement
  • Experience with documenting test results and repair recommendations clearly and concisely

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
