Position Summary:

The Director of Marketing at C&L Aviation Group plays a critical role in implementing marketing strategies, holding accountability for results, and working within a team to produce compelling content and campaigns. This position requires a well-organized professional who will not only oversee the marketing department's efforts in supporting our international sales team but also contribute directly to content creation, including basic graphics and social media posts. The Director is expected to maintain close communication with the international sales team, as well as with vendors and outside agencies, to ensure a unified, strategic approach to our sales and marketing efforts. This leadership role demands strong project management skills, team supervision, and hands-on involvement in content production. Based in our Bangor, Maine headquarters, the role emphasizes a collaborative office environment, integral to fostering our team's dynamic and innovative work culture.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Implement Marketing Strategies: Collaboratively work with company management and external agencies to implement marketing strategies that support business goals and enhance the brand identity.
  • Lead Content Creation and Campaigns: Direct and participate in the creation of compelling content and campaigns with a team, including a Content Manager and Videographer, ensuring alignment with the company’s inbound marketing efforts and sales objectives.
  • Social Media Management: Take charge of our social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. This includes planning, creating, and managing content that aligns with our marketing strategies, enhancing brand engagement and audience growth.
  • Manage Contact Lists and Email Campaigns: Oversee the growth and management of target market contact lists and the execution of direct email campaigns to engage with and expand the customer base.
  • Monitor Performance and Metrics: Develop and implement tracking procedures to evaluate the success of marketing campaigns, providing monthly reports on key performance metrics.
  • Plan and Oversee Events: Lead the planning and implementation of company events and conventions, ensuring they effectively represent the brand and contribute to marketing objectives.
  • Collaborate With Sales, Stakeholders, and with Agencies: Maintain close collaboration with the international sales team and creative agencies, ensuring marketing efforts are cohesive and support sales goals.
  • Foster Team Collaboration: Encourage a culture of innovation and teamwork, assisting all employees and interns in fulfilling their roles to exceed customer expectations.

 


Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in marketing leadership, with a successful track record in strategic marketing planning and execution.
  • Strong experience in inbound marketing and content marketing, with an ability to lead and participate in the content creation efforts effectively.
  • Experience in supervising a marketing team and collaborating with an international sales team.
  • This position is based at our Bangor, Maine headquarters, with a strong preference for on-site collaboration, acknowledging that it is primarily an in-office role without the option for regular remote work.
  • Prior experience in aviation marketing is a plus
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite as a part of our company's operational infrastructure.
