Private Credit Vice President Position Overview: As a Vice President in Private Credit, you will play a critical role in originating, evaluating, and managing private credit investments. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of credit markets and strong leadership skills. You will work closely with senior management, investment professionals, and portfolio companies to drive the success of their credit investments.
Private Credit Vice President Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Origination & Execution: Identify and originate new private credit investment opportunities. Lead the due diligence process, including financial modeling, credit analysis, and valuation.
- Deal Structuring: Develop and negotiate investment terms and structures. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to finalize agreements.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee and monitor portfolio investments, including regular performance reviews and risk assessments. Implement strategies to enhance value and address potential issues.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with investors, borrowers, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates and insights on portfolio performance and market trends.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior team members. Foster a collaborative environment and contribute to the development of team strategy and objectives.
- Market Research & Strategy: Stay abreast of market developments, industry trends, and regulatory changes. Contribute to the development of investment strategies and market positioning.
Private Credit Vice President Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, or a related field. Proven track record in originating and managing private credit investments.
- Skills: Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. Excellent negotiation and communication abilities. Proficiency in credit analysis, due diligence, and portfolio management.
- Attributes: Strategic thinker with a proactive approach. Strong leadership and team-building capabilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
