Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a seasoned Vice President to enhance our investment team based in Mexico. The ideal candidate will possess 4-5 years of relevant experience in private equity or growth equity, with a strong preference for MBA graduates. As a vital member of our team, the Vice President will be instrumental in sourcing, assessing, executing, and managing investments across diverse sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management:

  • Collaborate closely with management teams of portfolio companies to drive operational enhancements and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze and monitor the performance of portfolio companies, focusing on financial metrics and market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of comprehensive reports for stakeholders.

Deal Execution and Diligence:

  • Lead and support team members in executing complex transactions, including leveraged buyouts and minority investments.
  • Negotiate deal terms and coordinate with various advisors to ensure successful transaction closures.
  • Develop detailed financial models and investment proposals for presentation to the investment committee.

Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:

  • Proactively identify and assess investment opportunities through thorough market analysis and networking.
  • Conduct in-depth due diligence, including financial assessments and competitive analysis, to evaluate potential investments.
  • Work collaboratively with the investment team to formulate investment theses and present findings to senior leadership.

Team Development:

  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Contribute to a high-performing and collaborative culture within the firm, encouraging teamwork and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a prestigious university; MBA from a leading business school is preferred.
  • 4-5 years of experience in growth equity or private equity; foundational training in investment banking is required.
  • Demonstrated success in executing private equity or growth transactions from inception to closure.
  • Strong passion for identifying and supporting transformative high-growth companies.
  • Exceptional skills in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
