We have been retained to identify a Director of IT, SAP Applications to join our growing Cleveland Client's team. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall SAP strategy, including the planning, development, implementation, and management of SAP applications across the organization.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure SAP solutions effectively support business processes and objectives.
  • Oversee SAP projects, including upgrades, enhancements, and new module implementations, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Manage and mentor a team of SAP professionals, including developers, analysts, and administrators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of SAP systems, focusing on optimizing performance, enhancing functionality, and ensuring system reliability and scalability.
  • Ensure SAP systems comply with corporate policies, industry regulations, and best practices in security, data governance, and disaster recovery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with SAP vendors, consultants, and third-party service providers to ensure successful project delivery and system support.
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements in SAP technology to keep the organization at the forefront of innovation.
  • Prepare and manage the SAP budget, including forecasting costs for projects, maintenance, and ongoing support.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for SAP-related issues, providing expert guidance and support to resolve technical challenges.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in SAP applications, including implementation, configuration, and management.
  • Proven experience in leading SAP projects and managing a team of IT professionals.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP modules such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP FICO, SAP SD, SAP MM, SAP PP, and SAP BW/BI.
  • Strong understanding of business processes across various functions, including finance, supply chain, and operations, and how they align with SAP solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with SAP cloud solutions, integration with third-party systems, and emerging technologies such as IoT and AI is a plus.
