About the Company
RAI is seeking a Pipe Detailer to support our company’s growth.
About the Role
- The pipe detailer will create and incorporate 3D scanning utilizing Plant 3d software for process piping.
- The pipe detailer will produce fabrication ISO’s and as required as-built drawings for project turnover.
- Read, comprehend, and interpret plan drawings, P&ID’s & PFD documents, isometric drawings, details, material specifications, and equipment submittals.
- Use project-assigned CAD/BIM software tools (primarily Plant 3d) to produce coordinated 3D models of our scope of work, including necessary supplementary components, supports, and equipment to support to output of fully detailed fabrication and installation drawings.
- Produce detailed fabrication drawings, including piping spools, support fabrication details, and detailed assembly drawings for shop-fabricated assemblies (accounting for in-line valves, fittings, etc.)
- Produce detailed installation drawings, including piping layout drawings, support installation drawings, and spool maps (both isometric and orthographic).
- Keeping separate shop fabrication manhours and field installation manhours.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience working as a piping designer for heavy commercial or industrial projects.
- AutoCAD Plant 3D software experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Additional software a plus to include Navisworks, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Auto-bid for estimating
