Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst is to serve as a support mechanism, providing business planning and analysis support throughout the organization, with a significant focus on the Real Estate and Finance functions. This role is a critical element of the infrastructure needed to support Salon Republic’s next phase of growth. This is an in-office job located in Westlake Village, CA.


Duties and Responsibilities:

-       Analyze and provide reporting on periodic financial performance metrics to identify efficiencies and isolate anomalous activity from typical trends.

-       Provide cost/benefit analysis for potential internal projects and initiatives.

-       Support the SVP of Real Estate across multiple critical workstreams, including new site analysis and Real Estate Committee presentation materials.

-       Participate in the forecasting/planning process by gathering information from department leaders, analyzing historical data and trends, consuming macroeconomic trend information, developing and maintaining robust projection models, and developing presentation materials for an Executive audience.

-       Add significant value by reviewing performance results to identify trends and opportunities to drive incremental value across multiple business functions.

-       Work collaboratively with business partners throughout the organization to provide sound business guidance and financial analysis.

-       Proactively communicate meaningful financial and business information to the management team to enable them to make prudent decisions.


Qualifications:

-       A “big picture” perspective, with the ability to dive into the detail and do whatever it takes to get the job done.

-       A proven track record of applying business planning and analysis to a broad range of business problems in a strategic and proactive manner.

-       Strong organizational and time management abilities that allow projects to be completed on time.

-       Ability to grow with the organization and take on more responsibilities as needed.

-       Strong Microsoft Office skills. Ability to learn new systems quickly.

-       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

-       Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.

-       Ability to learn and master new concepts quickly.


Education and Experience:

-       Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field.

  • 2+ years’ experience in business analysis, preferably in a fast-paced environment supporting a multi-unit business.
