Our client is seeking a top-performing healthcare industry leader to serve as an Account Executive in its Key Accounts division. This role involves delivering best-in-class strategic account development and service to existing clients while collaborating with the Company’s Benefit Consultants to identify new business opportunities.


As an Account Executive, you will lead accounts, providing multiple layers of support to meet the unique needs of each client. Responsibilities include strengthening new and existing relationships by actively investigating clients’ needs, managing daily communications, delivering clear and concise presentations, and holding regular face-to-face meetings. You must be able to prioritize objectives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate advanced knowledge of the current healthcare industry and trends. A proactive servicing approach, a strong sense of urgency, and advanced problem-solving skills are essential.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships as the primary day-to-day point of contact.
  • Create and administer annual client service calendars and monitor issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with Benefits Consultants to build and implement plan designs and strategies that meet clients’ long-term goals.
  • Develop strong relationships with carrier and actuarial partners to ensure successful outcomes for clients.
  • Work closely with Financial Analysts to prepare and present detailed plan design analyses.
  • Assist in the new business sales process, including preparing RFPs, proposals, and presentations.
  • Coordinate the review of SPDs, contracts, and legal documents to ensure compliance.
  • Manage the implementation of new plan designs and help clients maximize the utilization of their current plans.
  • Coordinate employee communication and engagement, including open enrollment presentations and ongoing educational materials.
  • Resolve day-to-day service issues with account managers, including eligibility, billing, and claim issues.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Life and Health Insurance State License (Required).
  • Professional Certification (GBA, PHR, CLU, CEBS, CBP) (Preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance carrier and/or insurance brokerage.
  • Advanced knowledge of Health and Welfare plans (HMO, PPO, CDHP) and ancillary coverage (Life, Short and Long-Term Disability, Dental, Vision).
  • Broad understanding of the various regulations surrounding health and welfare plans.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Sound judgment and willingness to take responsibility for results.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel (creating and verifying financial spreadsheets), and PowerPoint.
  • Exemplary relationship management and customer service skills.
