Role Overview:

As an HR Shared Services Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries, providing guidance and support to employees across various departments. This role requires a mix of customer service excellence, systems proficiency, and a solid understanding of basic HR practices. You'll be part of a team helping the organization transition to a new HR system, so adaptability and a willingness to learn are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to HR-related questions and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Use systems like Outlook, WebEx, and Oracle (experience in these systems is a plus) to manage communications and resolve inquiries.
  • Demonstrate empathy when handling employee concerns, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.
  • Apply basic HR knowledge to provide accurate information and support across various HR functions.
  • Stay organized and maintain attention to detail, especially when managing multiple requests and inquiries.
  • Adapt quickly to changes, particularly with the upcoming system transition before the new year.
  • Communicate effectively with employees and team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Work independently while also contributing to the team's overall goals and performance.
  • Leverage call center experience (preferred) to navigate high-volume environments efficiently.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Strong customer service abilities with a focus on helping others.
  • Experience using systems like Outlook, WebEx, and Oracle.
  • Empathy and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of basic HR practices and principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal, for interacting with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Prior experience in a call center or similar customer service role is highly beneficial.
