What you'll do as a Senior Corporate Accountant:

  • Prepare supporting work papers, and record and reconcile loss and loss adjustment expenses related to reimbursable/aggregate deductible billings.
  • Manage the preparation, reconciliation, and billing of reinsurance activities, including third-party recovery and deductible activities.
  • Lead the transition from manual to automated processes for reinsurance recoveries, premium, third-party recovery, and deductible settlements.
  • Co-lead project teams to implement new reinsurance accounting systems.
  • Prepare statutory schedules related to loss adjustment expense and reinsurance using statutory reporting software.
  • Assist with annual audits, periodic statutory examinations, and quarterly/annual actuarial consulting engagements.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, supporting the Director of Finance.

What you'll need to succeed as a Senior Corporate Accountant:

  • Bachelors in Accounting and 3+ years of experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP knowledge
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a multi-tasking environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-up.
  • Strong communication skills.
