What you'll do as a Senior Corporate Accountant:
- Prepare supporting work papers, and record and reconcile loss and loss adjustment expenses related to reimbursable/aggregate deductible billings.
- Manage the preparation, reconciliation, and billing of reinsurance activities, including third-party recovery and deductible activities.
- Lead the transition from manual to automated processes for reinsurance recoveries, premium, third-party recovery, and deductible settlements.
- Co-lead project teams to implement new reinsurance accounting systems.
- Prepare statutory schedules related to loss adjustment expense and reinsurance using statutory reporting software.
- Assist with annual audits, periodic statutory examinations, and quarterly/annual actuarial consulting engagements.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, supporting the Director of Finance.
What you'll need to succeed as a Senior Corporate Accountant:
- Bachelors in Accounting and 3+ years of experience
- In-depth knowledge of the regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP knowledge
- Ability to manage time effectively in a multi-tasking environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-up.
- Strong communication skills.
