Aston Carter Senior Staff Accountant
Location: New Haven, Connecticut
Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Maintain the general ledger by recording transactions, adjusting entries, and reconciling accounts.
Assist with audit preparations, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Handle other accounting duties as assigned by management or leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Familiarity with inter-company transactions and month-end closing processes.
At least 4 years of experience.
Soft Skills:
Strong adherence to financial policies.
Effective interaction with corporate teams.
Proactive monitoring and recommendation skills.
Accurate and timely reporting.
Work Site:
This is a fully on-site position in North Haven, Connecticut.
