A growing manufacturing and distribution company in Winchester, VA is seeking to hire a full time Inventory Specialist who will be responsible for overseeing fulfillment operations in the Distribution Center. This individual must be skilled in managing diverse warehouse operations, will be responsible for inventory management as well as formulating business development actions that support and optimize operations to meet all Safety, Quality, Accuracy and Productivity metrics as well as leading with the company's values in mind: integrity, desire to be the best, passion, enthusiasm and innovation. Inventory Specialist is responsible for:


· Inventory Management, leading and executing all daily warehouse and distribution operations including receiving and outbound preparation and execution, picking, departmental procedures, equipment certifications and personnel management.

· Managing all aspects of production to ensure safety, quality, cost and schedules are achieved

· Monitoring department Team Members’ daily productivity and provide feedback as needed and assure that daily staffing assignments are distributed according to standards.

· Ensuring compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines

· Conducting material handling and flow analysis to improve these processes and reorganizing warehouse layout for efficiency improvements.

· Communicating and enforcing company policies and procedures, assisting employees with solving problems and fostering a spirit of cooperation within the departments

· Ensuring warehouse storage areas are kept clean and organized to create a safe work environment

· Maintaining daily department standards, including safety and overall building maintenance.

. Build employee morale through one-on-one interaction with Team Members.

Experience and Skills:

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) with knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management System) and inventory management software. Experience in using FishBowl Inventory Software a big plus.

· Effective interpersonal and organizational skills; strong attention to detail.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities.

· Excellent ability to prioritize many tasks and handle high workloads as necessary.

· Mechanical knowledge a plus.
