Job Title: Procurement Specialist

As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services. Your expertise will help us maintain a competitive edge in the market while delivering high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to determine reordering needs and optimize supply chain operations.
  • Process internal purchasing requisitions for materials and services, ensuring compliance with approved supplier lists and internal specifications.
  • Provide sourcing recommendations for materials and services, leveraging your knowledge of the market and supplier relationships.
  • Assist with sourcing and onboarding new suppliers, ensuring seamless integration into our procurement processes.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and expediting/adjusting as needed to meet inventory levels.
  • Monitor receipt of items, resolving shipment errors with the receiving department and/or suppliers.
  • Authorize and reconcile payments for purchases, verifying receipts and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, adhering to specified release processes and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency in SAP within the Purchasing Modules and Material Master.
  • Prior experience working in a medical manufacturing facility and/or with FDA experience (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in a Purchasing/Buyer role.
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with all levels of personnel within the organization.
Training Requirements:
  • Undergo all formal training events as directed by management.
  • Comply with all Sirtex Corporate Policies and Quality System procedures.
  • Work within and ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment Management System procedures and requirements.

This is a 100% onsite position, Monday through Friday. The target base salary range for this position is $68,000 to $91,000 annually, with individual compensation based on non-discriminatory factors, including geographic location, skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors. In addition to the expected base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in Sirtex's incentive programs (target bonus of 5%) and benefit plans, which include paid sick and vacation time, health insurance, and a generous 401(k) matching program.
