JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is looking for I&E Engineer for a large multi-specialty chemical company, at one of their polymer manufacturing plants sitting in Augusta, GA. This person will provide instrumentation and electrical engineering services, including design, estimating, reporting, cost control to implement projects, system troubleshooting, and support day to day maintenance activities. They will be performing assistance with the maintenance group form an engineering standpoint, doing small improvements, small maintenance projects, and instrumentation with instruments that measure flow temperature and pressure, measure PH & connectivity, flow meters and pressure transmitters. This role requires about 25% travel from the Augusta, GA Facility to the Greenville, SC Plant. The current team is made up of a Team Lead, 3 I&E Engineers and 1 Controls Engineer.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment specifically with application, implementation and troubleshooting field instrumentation
  • Experience working with various types of Instrumentation pieces in a chemical manufacturing environment. (Ex. Flow Meters, Pressure Transmitters, Process Instrumentation, etc. )
  • Experience designing classified areas.
  • Medium and High voltage distribution system maintenance
  • Experience with NFPA 70E work practices and ARC Flash methodology
