Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Lead power system studies, relay settings, & protective device coordination.
● Arc flash studies, electrical system design, and reliability studies.
● Perform load studies and power quality studies.
● Create, review, and modify prints and drawings.
● Relay setting generation, input, and logic programming.
● Lead in preparing estimates and project take offs for proposals.
● Review and approve engineering reports, as well as question technicians on results.
● Ability to assist in field service substation work as needed.
● Conduct job walks and generate proposals when needed for customers.
● Promote new business by effectively communicating Premier’s capabilities and ensuring all customers recognize these capabilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
● Proficient in SKM Power Tools or Easy Power.
● Ability to read one-line diagrams.
● Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot and solve problems.
● Point-to point wiring schematic knowledge.
● Must have excellent attention to detail.
● Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet goals and deadlines.
● Ability to work independently while utilizing excellent judgement.
● Ability to effectively respond to customer needs and concerns.
● Ability to work on a computer and have a strong skillset in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, email, internet, data entry and other essential software programs as they are introduced.
● Communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, with customers, peers, management, and owners.
● Knowledge of electrical/electronic components used in power distribution systems.
Work Environment:
● Must be willing to relocate within 60 miles of Premier Power Maintenance’s Engineering office in Indianapolis, IN.
● Corporate business hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm, but depending on the scope of works hours outside of business hours may be required.
Work Environment (Continued):
● Work in close, but safe, proximity to live electrical substations.
● Blend of office work and field work is expected.
● Some, but minimal, overnight travel may be required.
● Must be willing to take calls and travel outside the scope of normal business hours.
Education and Work Experience:
● Requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
● Requires three years of experience in Power Engineering.
● Ability to achieve NETA level II within 12 months of employment.
Other Requirements:
● Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and motor vehicle check.
● Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, as well as periodic, unannounced random testing.
● Must have a valid driver’s license.
● Must be able to lift and maneuver at least 50 lbs.
● Must be willing to obtain a company paid OSHA 10 hour, NFPA 70-E and, CPR training.
