Role Summary: 


The Communications and Media Coordinator role is responsible for managing and facilitating marketing, communications and social media aligning our mission, goals, and values requiring excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of marketing trends, social media strategy and strategic planning abilities. 


Specific Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities):


· Communications Strategy Coordination: Work with marketing leader to coordinate and implement comprehensive communications strategies aligned with the Bank’s goals and market opportunities. This includes incoming PR, and communications needs as well as proactive internal and external tactics including scripting of videos, presentations and speeches for Bank leadership.

· Brand Management: Maintain and enhance the Bank’s brand guidelines through consistent messaging, visual identity, and community engagement initiatives. Ensure all internally and externally created media fits within brand standards. Police internal stakeholders that stray outside brand and marketing norms. 

· Digital Marketing: Work with internal leaders to oversee digital marketing campaigns, including website management, Search Engine Optimization/Search Engine Marketing, email marketing, and social media budget strategy to drive customer acquisition and engagement. 

· Manage Bank Social Media: Oversee the Bank’s social media accounts – creating metrics driven calendars by channel. Create trackable and purpose-driven posts while engaging with followers to develop and foster relationships to drive customer loyalty.   

· Advertising and Promotion: Execute advertising campaigns, promotions, and events to increase brand awareness and attract new customers. 

· Customer Insights and Product Strategy: Utilize agency and market research, customer feedback, and data analytics to identify customer needs, preferences, and trends to inform product marketing strategies.  

· Agency Coordination and Internal Collaboration: Work closely with our marketing agency, sales and customer service teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives and support product launches and customer retention initiatives. 

· Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets effectively, monitor expenses, and optimize spending to achieve ROI targets. 

· Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all marketing activities comply with banking regulations and internal policies. Prepare regular reports on marketing performance and present findings to senior management. 


 Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:

 

· A confident communicator and presenter; excellent written and oral communication skills 

· Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, and publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally 

· Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in communication and social media use 

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

· Ability to be strategic and tactical in day-to-day operations 

· Develop and recommend short- and long-term plans to achieve profitability and growth goals 


Education/Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications or media studies 

· Five (5) years of experience in financial services with a communication emphasis is a plus
