Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Manager, Social Media Communications to assist in the development of social media, creative content, and related operations for our Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment; has demonstrated experience in using digital and social media tools and analytics, and who consistently generates creative, strategic ideas to advance organizational goals. This role demands a professional who combines strategic planning with tactical execution, offering exceptional judgment and superior writing skills. You will work closely with the CEO to understand their vision, voice, and objectives, translating these into compelling social media content and strategies. In this unique position, you will be a driving force behind shaping the digital persona of a thought leader in the women's health sector. Your role will be instrumental in enhancing the CEO's visibility, influence, and engagement across various social media platforms.

Essential Functions 

      Collaborate with our PR agency of record to devise and implement creative social media strategies that reflect the CEO's vision, mission, and advocacy goals

      Assist in managing the social media presence of the CEO on platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn

      Produce high-quality photos and videos at events, speeches, and engagements with key stakeholders

      Create compelling content that communicates the CEO's mission and messages

      Monitor social media trends and analytics to adjust strategies and measure campaign effectiveness

      Work closely with the CEO, marketing team, and other departments to ensure alignment of messaging and support broader company objectives

      Engage with influencers, industry leaders, and followers to build relationships and expand the CEO's network

      As needed, travel for meetings and events in support of the CEO, working some evenings and weekends

Requirements

      Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field

      Three-to-four years of demonstrated hands-on social media management experience in an applicable environment: in-house, agency, political or advocacy campaign, or local, state or federal government

      Strong capabilities in visual storytelling, including photography and video production

      In-depth knowledge of Instagram, LinkedIn and other social media platforms, demonstrated by a history of growing engagement and followership

      Basic graphic design skills for use on digital and social media platforms

      Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills

      Proven ability to manage high-pressure situations and tight deadlines with professionalism

      Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), e-mail, and digital communication platforms
