We are seeking a hardworking Laboratory Technician to join our team and support our food safety, quality, and operational efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, Excel skills, and some lab experience.


Title: Laboratory Technician

Schedule: Mon to Fri, 6:30 am-3:00 pm CST (Occasional Saturday - Half day, approx. 1 per month) Mode of interview: Virtual

Duration : 6 months contract (with Further Possible extension or FTE)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine analytical and laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process, and final products
  • Document and communicate test results using databases
  • Conduct calibration checks and preventive maintenance on analytical instruments
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and procedures
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve food safety, quality, and regulatory culture
  • Handle clerical, administrative, and customer support tasks under general supervision
  • Write routine reports and correspondence

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Basic laboratory experience (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work occasional Saturdays (approx. 1 per month, half day)

Additional Information:

  • N95 masks are required for certain tasks; a clean shave is necessary
  • Working with animal feed and raw material samples
