Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Clinical Laboratory Technician. This role may require travel to various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute venipuncture procedures while adhering to infection control protocols.
2. Stay informed about standard specimen collection requirements and container specifications.
3. Accurately identify and label specimens.
4. Collect and confirm patient demographic details.
5. Update insurance information as necessary.
6. Verify patient eligibility and flag appointments accordingly.
7. Conduct outreach to patients who have missed appointments.
8. Scan and index documents into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
9. Manage patient interactions in line with established protocols and scheduling guidelines.
10. Follow standing orders in accordance with practice policies.
11. Document all patient interactions and clinical activities promptly and accurately in the EHR.
12. Schedule tests, treatments, and follow-up visits for patients.
13. Collaborate with Regional Nurse Managers to oversee temperature monitoring.
14. Support the care team to ensure efficient office operations and exceptional service delivery.
15. Provide attentive care to patients, fostering trust and loyalty.
16. Maintain a respectful and courteous demeanor towards patients and staff, ensuring confidentiality.
17. Keep open communication lines with the care team and Regional Management.
18. Stay updated on current coding, OSHA, and CLIA regulations as well as company policies.
19. Adhere to all patient safety initiatives and infection control standards.
20. Perform additional duties as assigned.
