Position: Construction Supervisor


Location: New England (Various Locations)


Role Overview: My Client is looking for Construction Supervisors to support natural gas infrastructure projects across New England. This role directly supports a key utility account’s multi-year capital delivery plan. The ideal candidate will have experience in overseeing and verifying natural gas pressure regulation station and pipeline construction to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and exceed client expectations. The Construction Supervisor will ensure that all work adheres to applicable state and local codes, industry best practices, and asset owner specifications, standards, and procedures. Certification through the Northeast Gas Association (gas operation 70 and 71) is required, or the ability to obtain these certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance and Control: Enforce QA/QC for material receipt, construction, and commissioning.
  • Compliance: Ensure all installations conform to codes, client standards, engineering drawings, and industry best practices.
  • Reporting: Communicate and submit daily reports to Project Managers.
  • Timesheet Review: Review contractor and subcontractor timesheets.
  • Material Management: Oversee all material deliveries and custody transfers.
  • Documentation: Maintain and submit redlined as-builts, weld maps, torque reports, and MTRs.
  • Inspection: Oversee and inspect all welding, coating, and non-destructive examination (NDE) work.
  • Rate Management: Oversee contractor unit rate tallies.
  • Permit Management: Ensure completion of daily work permits.
  • Operator Qualification: Manage and document operator qualification (OQ) coverage and records.
  • Testing Oversight: Oversee hydrotesting and pneumatic pressure testing.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve minor field discrepancies with input from client PMs and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Safety Compliance: Document and report any safety concerns and significant constructability issues to the client PMs immediately.
  • Safety Guidelines: Verify that all project construction activities conform to safety guidelines in the operating agreement.
  • Incident Reporting: Produce and submit incident reports for "near miss" incidents and accidents within 24 hours.
  • Inspector Requirements: Adhere to all inspector requirements for construction work.
  • Job File Submission: Submit a fully consolidated electronic job file upon the in-service date.

Requirements:

  • Five (5) years of high-pressure gas transmission experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Must have personal transportation, a laptop, and a cell phone.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NACE (AMPP) CIP Level 1 or higher.
  • Continued education relevant to business, engineering, or energy.
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
