Overview:

The Wellspring Schools, is dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education that fosters the intellectual, social, and emotional development of our students. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Educational Director to lead our Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program in compliance with NYC Article 43 regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a high-quality curriculum that meets the educational standards and goals of the UPK program.
  • Supervise and support teaching staff, providing guidance, professional development, and evaluations.
  • Ensure the program complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Engage with families to foster a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
  • Continuously assess and improve the program based on feedback and educational outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by Article 43 and other regulatory bodies.
  • Manage the daily operations of the UPK program, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.


Qualifications:


Education: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study.


Certification: Hold a teaching license or certificate valid for services in the early childhood or childhood grades as pursuant to New York State Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) regulations.


Experience:

  • Have two or more years of Lead Teacher experience in a program for children less than six years of age.
  • At least one year of experience in a supervisory or administrative role within an educational setting, preferably in early childhood education.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and administrative software.
