Quality Engineer

100% Onsite in Dearborn, MI

Pay Rate: $95,000

Seeking a Quality Engineer to optimize processes and product efficiency by ensuring quality standards, conducting testing, and implementing corrective actions. An Ideal candidate will excel in troubleshooting and solution implementation.


Must Haves:

  • Experience with engine components such as cylinder liners and pistons.
  • Background in automotive tier 1 or tier 2 manufacturing.
  • Degree in Quality Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong manufacturing experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Quality & Engineering Manager to develop and maintain the quality management system.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like 5S and Kaizen.
  • Train production operators on quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure compliance with customer specifications.


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in quality management systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Ability to conduct and manage audits, and handle customer complaints effectively.
  • Experience in managing supplier performance and conducting supplier audits.
  • Skilled in preparing quality reports, including 8D reports.


Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Quality Engineering or related field
