This role will focus on building and expanding strategic relationships with Amazon globally, working across the 3M matrix with area and local teams to drive sales, align priorities, and execute growth strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and international subsidiaries to unlock new opportunities and deliver impactful results in a dynamic, high-growth environment.As a global business development manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Leading global business development efforts with Amazon, aligning with 3M's strategic priorities and growth objectives.Collaborating across 3M's matrix organization, including area and local teams, to ensure coordinated execution and resource alignment.Developing and executing strategic plans to accelerate sales with Amazon internationally, leveraging data-driven insights and market intelligence.Building and managing a robust pipeline of opportunities across key market segments, customers, and applications.Identifying and defining new category/product opportunities to meet sales and profitability targets.Influencing Amazon's global and regional teams to drive joint business planning and execution.Utilizing POS and other data sources to inform strategy, track performance, and optimize sales initiatives.Participating/leading negotiations and building strong, long-term relationships with Amazon stakeholders at all levels.Partnering with internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Channel, and Application Engineering to drive pull-through sales.Providing leadership and coaching to area and subsidiary personnel, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, International Relations (completed and verified prior to start)Seven (7) years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic account management in a private, public, government or military environment.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:MBA or advanced degree.Experience in the consumer goods sectors.Familiarity with Amazon Vendor Central, Seller Central, and retail media platforms.Multilingual capabilities or international work experience.Proven experience working with or managing relationships with Amazon or other global e-commerce platforms.Senior engagement Pull from role charter.Strong understanding of global markets and cross-cultural business practices.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed, global organization.Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.Work location:Onsite, Maplewood, MNTravel: May include up to 30% domestic and international travelRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
