Sales Engineer

Boulder Imaging is seeking a hands-on and highly motivated Sales Engineer to support the sales and marketing teams at Boulder Imaging as we look to expand the deployment of our high-performance machine vision systems and IdentiFlight technology. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of how mechanical and electrical systems interact at a high level and have the ability to explain these concepts to our customers. The ideal candidate will be organized, responsive, and excel in customer-facing presentations and content creation.

 

Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Research new markets and applications of BI technology.
  • Research sales prospects before presentations.
  • Help maintain BI’s CRM software (customer relationship management).

Pre-Sales

  • Support presentation and proposal preparation.
  • Support sample collection and lab testing efforts.
  • Participate in budget creation and review.

Project Launch

  • Support project launch efforts and translation of schedule, scope, and fee to the engineering team.

Post-Sales

  • Assist with the replacement part and spare part sales process.
  • Support sustaining engineering efforts and corresponding sales of system upgrades.
  • Support warranty and software support contract sales.

Continuous Improvemen

  • Support new technology research.
  • Support productization efforts.
  • Support sales process improvement initiatives.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A solid foundation in mechanical and electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • An aptitude for working in a highly collaborative environment where sharing ideas, respectful disagreement and constructive conflict is expected and encouraged.
  • An understanding of the engineering process whereby customer needs are translated into product specifications which guide designs and test methods.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
