Overview:

CapCenter is looking to hire a full-time Account Executive (Originator) that will grow existing account relationships while establishing new sources for a steady flow of loan volume from other external sources. Candidates should have experience directly related to the Mortgage Industry. Under the supervision of the Mortgage Director, the job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


Responsibilities:

  • Sell and originate mortgages while going above and beyond to deliver world class service.
  • Manage and grow existing relationships with previously established CapCenter referral partners such as to deepen the relationship and generate new customers.
  • Generate new business by originating relationships with employers, real estate agents, financial advisors, CPAs, and other relevant professionals.
  • Regularly participate in mortgage sales including, but not limited to, attending closings and open houses, and conducting seminars and other lead-generating activities.
  • Take loan applications and analyze income to pre-qualify the prospective borrower to determine the maximum mortgage that the prospective borrower can afford.
  • Counsel the prospective borrower in the home buying and financing process, advising the borrower about the different types of loan products and services available.
  • Collect financial information (tax returns, bank statements) and other related documents that are part of the application process; Provide appropriate disclosures to the borrower.
  • Maintain regular contact with the borrower and referral partners to apprise them of the status of the application and to gather any additional information as needed.
  • Depending on market conditions, may be required to take loan applications generated by CapCenter’s consumer direct marketing efforts.


Qualifications:

  • Must have appropriate state NMLS license with 5+ years experience
  • Thorough knowledge of mortgage pricing and underwriting required
  • Working knowledge of eligibility requirements for FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, and VA programs
  • Must be familiar with local, state and national laws (e.g. TILA, RESPA, etc.)
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to analyze financial information
  • Must be a sales-oriented self-starter and pro-active communicator with internal stakeholders
