- Interested candidates should have at least three years of experience with patent and/or trademark work and a strong working knowledge of U.S. rules, processes and procedures. Candidates should also possess strong knowledge of general office procedures and with legal terminology related to Intellectual Property (IP).
- Should be knowledgeable with IP related technologies or similar technologies and websites.
- Prior experience supporting more than one attorney is required
- The legal secretary must possess advanced word processing/computer skills utilizing a variety of software programs especially MS Office
- Legal filing and record-keeping practices as relevant to IP
- Must be highly organized and able to successfully multi-task and meet set deadlines
- This position requires constant communication and exchange of information with the firm attorneys, clients and staff
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Administrative tasks, including processing new client/matter requests, client bills, time reports and expense reports
- Dictation and transcription
- Correspondence
- Prepare, edit, finalize and management of documents
- Handle IP filings under the supervision of lawyer
- Monitors client files and deadlines
- Coordinates travel arrangements and meetings
- Work with other lines of business as requested
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma

- Understanding of dockets and deadlines
- Strong familiarity with any tasks related to USPTO Filings
