Gastroenterology Associates, PC powered by One GI® is seeking an Advanced Practitioner – Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team to help drive patient success in our community.


We are searching for a passionate PA or NP to work Full Time, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. You will be scheduled for all three of our offices within Northern Virginia in Manassas, Gainesville, and Warrenton. This position provides a great work - life balance as you will not have to work any nights or weekends. And no hospital or on call shifts


**Bilingual – Spanish Speaker, is preferred for the role, but not mandatory.


**This position does have a quarterly bonus structure


What you will do:

  • New inpatient consults, Inpatient follow-up visits
  • Provide care to patients in the following settings:
  • Routine follow-up visits in the office
  • Urgent follow-up visits in the office
  • Urgent and provider requested consults and new patient visits
  • Communicate patient care activities to the physician (visit notes/test results).
  • Participate in clinical continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
  • Order appropriate medication, laboratory, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Administer medications and injections.
  • Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention.
  • Recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
  • Instruct patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provide patient education.
  • Maintain and review patient’s records, charts, and other pertinent information.
  • Triage patient telephone calls and provides consultation.


What you bring:

  • Registered Nursing license as well as degree level required by each state to obtain PA/NP license.
  • Graduate of an accredited program and board certified with prescriptive authority.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are a must, knowledge of billing services is required, understands the various responsibilities physician/NP or PA/Patient relationship.
  • Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program with certification by a national certification board.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required, or Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English - highly preferred.
