Our headquarters are in Nijkerk (NL) with offices in Hood River (US), Maui (US) and Cape Town (South-Africa). Key Responsibilities:

·      Coordinate and be responsible for month-end activities: financial reporting, variances analysis versus Budget and Last Year

·      Coordinate the annual Budgeting and Reforecasting cycle

·      Managing the weekly CashFlow Forecast; working capital management

·      Coordinate the deliverables regarding the annual external audit

·      Managing, supporting, and developing the Kubus Sports back office team in the US (3 people)

·      Challenge the business on sales, margin and cost.

·      End-responsible for tax compliance, facilities and HR

·      Keep IT running together with external partners

·      You will be reporting to the CFO in the Netherlands


What will your work week look like?

·      Weekly call/meeting with the sales team about past week’s results while flagging potential issues in moving inventory, and other sales priorities

·      Daily contact with the finance and back office team, where you help them develop

·      One or two calls per week with Kubus’ European HQ about current topics and priorities

·      Keep information flowing to the entire organization: ensure information-based decision-making by pro-actively pushing dashboards and analyses: prepare and update these

·      Stay in control of finance: manage working capital, review accuracy of accounting entries, and keep audit as well as permanent files up to date

·      Negotiate prices with local suppliers and stay in control of costs

·      Aid in keeping data compatible between Europe and the US; aid in projects to further integrate and automate data flows


When do you know when you are successful?

·      Finance and working capital is in control

·      Tax and HR are compliant

·      Monthly reporting is done on business day 7

·      The annual external audit goes smoothly and is on time

·      The organization is data-driven and potential problems are flagged early based on data

·      You are perceived as a team player by the rest of the organization


Requirements:

·      8 years of experience in accounting, business control and/or financial management

·      Willing to take on a challenge and broaden your scope of responsibility

·      Working knowledge of US GAAP and able to train the rest of the back office team in keeping accounting US GAAP compliant; IFRS knowledge is welcome

·      Knowledge of Netsuite and PowerBI is welcome

·      At the office 3 days per week minimum. 1 or 2 home office days are allowed, but presence in the office is strongly preferred: we are working on building a stronger and tighter team in the US, and being at the office helps that

·      Willingness to travel approximately once every quarter (to Hawaii or Europe)

·      Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive actionable insights.


Indicative salary: $100.000 annually (depending on previous experience and capabilities) + health insurance
