Acute Care Clinical Supervisor - Emergency Services (ESAC) & Mobile Crisis Response Team


Our Emergency Services Assessment Center (ESAC) serves as the Collier County Baker Act Receiving Facility. Clinicians offer crisis assessment, crisis intervention, clinical triage, and support the 988-suicide prevention hotline.


Our NEW Mobile Crisis Response Team at DLC rapidly responds 24/7 to requests for crisis interventions in the community. Referral sources include health care providers, family members, self-referral, law enforcement, and other community members.


These are fast- paced environments where Clinicians work collaboratively with Psychiatrists, Nurses, and Behavioral Healthcare Technicians (BHT's)to meet the needs of Clients and families via a multi-disciplinary team approach.


POSITION DETAILS:


GENERAL SUPERVISOR & ESAC-SPECIFIC DUTIES


- Directly supervising, training, and orienting all Clinical Staff (including Triage Clinicians) in a 24/7 environment to ensure comprehensive services to adults and children admitted to the Acute Care Program.


- Participating as a member of the DLC Clinical Supervisor Team.


- Developing and managing Staffing schedules to ensure integrity and Client safety while meeting budget.


- Assisting Human Resources with the recruitment of Team Staff.


- Providing weekly supervision for all assigned Staff and performing follow-through on progressive discipline process if needed.


- Supporting DLC's Acute Care Director with operational duties to ensure a smooth and effective working environment.


- Objectively investigating and following up on grievances/incidents in a timely manner.


- Participating in initiatives to enhance Acute Care/ESAC/MRT Programs, DLC, and the community as a whole.


- Embracing and actively promoting an inclusive and equitable work environment.


- Collaborating with internal and external providers by maintaining community partnerships and assuring timely Client access to referrals and linked services.


- Assisting with running multiple and complex reports.


- Participating on committees to improve agency service delivery, quality compliance and enhanced Acute Care services.


- Overseeing completion of chart audits and ensuring timely/accurate documentation.


- Monitoring insurance authorization for services rendered as necessary.


- Reviewing caseloads regularly to ensure appropriate utilization of services and follow up.


MRT-SPECIFIC DUTIES


- Hands-on leadership, clinical oversight, supervision, and services to support the Mobile Crisis Response team (Clinicians, Clinical Specialists, Case Managers and Support Staff).


- Direct clinical coverage and supervision to include signing treatment plans, assessments, and being part of Baker Act on-call rotation.


- Ensuring contract deliverables are met for the program to include response timeliness and numbers served.


- Overseeing proper maintenance of MRT-assigned vehicles.


- Coordinating Program schedule and Staffing patterns to ensure 24/7 coverage.


- Providing on-site and on-call coverage for MRT Shifts when needed.


- Directing crisis intervention efforts and intervening as required.


- Supporting workflows and streamlining processes to coordinate timely access to care.

- Providing oversight for MRT marketing efforts, training, and case consultation.



TO BECOME OUR NEXT ESAC/MRT SUPERVISOR:


- Master's Degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Health Care Administration or related field = Required


- FL Licensed Clinician (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW) = Strongly Preferred


- At least 2 years of experience in related environment (mental health, group homes, prison, detention centers, etc.) = Required


- Current and clear Florida Driver's License = Required


- Prior experience as a Supervisor in a comparably demanding environment = Preferred


- Demonstrated expertise in the following = Required

~ Working with and relating to a diversity of diverse cultural/social/economic backgrounds

~ Program implementation skills

~ Competency in age-related or specialty issues/developmental needs

~ Assessment, diagnosis and treatment regarding severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders


- Ability to effectively utilize available resources to ensure a comprehensive, holistic and integrated treatment approach that supports evidence-based practices = Required


- Well-founded clinical and risk management skills = Required


- Flexibility, accessibility, working after hours, including some weekends, to ensure accountability and integrity = Required


- Exceptional skills in organization (time and information) and communication (written and verbal) = Required


- Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) and Electronic Medical Records experience = Strongly Preferred


- Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required


- Ability to pass a Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required


LOGISTICS & COMPENSATION:


- Full-Time Salaried/Exempt Position

~ Target Hours Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
