The Commercial Banking Trainee will be responsible for analyzing commercial loan customers and real estate projects for financial and business risks. The incumbent will review balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for analyzing industry and market risks as well as prepare credit memorandums, financial spreadsheets, relationship/profitability analysis and other tasks associated with supporting Relationship Managers.
- Complete an extensive two-year training program including specialized external classroom training and on-the-job training with experienced bankers.
- Work with business clients with revenues of $2.5 to $100 million and/or real estate transactions from $1 to $15 million in credit exposure.
- Must be willing to travel to customer and various WSFS locations, as needed.
The schedule is 40-hour work week Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. This position requires the incumbent to work in Wilmington, DE for the first 12-18 months of employment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or equivalent work experience, which provides a basis for commercial loan underwriting and analysis, including the review and interpretation of client financial statements and tax returns, review and understanding of data in both personal and business bureaus. Training is provided.
- Previous credit review experience is preferred.
- Previous banking experience is preferred.
- Requires strong analytical skills and strong PC spreadsheet skills.
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
