Overview:

Due to our clients' continuous growth, we are seeking an experienced and driven Process Engineer. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with strong communication skills, capable of enhancing process yield and consistency, developing innovative products, and producing high-quality drawings and documentation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize welding processes, brazing recipes, and heat treatment cycles to meet customer specifications.
  • Analyze and review historical yield and process data for welding, heat treatment, and brazing, and implement improvements to enhance process stability and consistency.
  • Design and execute Design of Experiments (DOEs) to identify critical process parameters affecting the final product and establish controls for key parameters.
  • Develop and write work instructions to ensure consistent results.
  • Design and validate fixtures and tooling to support brazing, welding, and heat treatment processes.
  • Conduct process failure analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain and update pFMEAs for each process, prioritizing actions based on failure types, frequency, and detectability to mitigate the highest process risks.
  • Support NADCAP compliance efforts.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize factory operations.
  • Participate in design reviews to minimize process risks.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a materials science role, preferably with direct experience in brazing or TIG welding.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD, MRP software, military specifications, and AS9100 standards.
