Principal Software Engineer

Additionally, the candidate should have a strong understanding of microservices architecture, GraphQL, REST, and event-driven solutions.


As a leader, the Principal Software Engineer will be responsible for leading and directing application development programs, mentoring junior developers, and facilitating code development/engineering training and education programs for the IT team.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in application development
  • Proficiency in Java, J2ee, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and public cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • Experience with microservices architecture, GraphQL, REST, and event-driven solutions (Kafka / RabbitMQ / SQS)
  • Familiarity with NoSQL and SQL databases
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Behavior-Driven-Design)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven track record of leading teams with large-scale application development projects/programs
  • Strong problem-solving skills to drive the collection of required information to develop work scope around solutions
  • Must be able to work hybrid - Miami or Dallas area
