About the Role:

  • Develop and implement the vision, mission, and strategic goals for the Center of Excellence for Procurement.
  • Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies to drive operational efficiency, cost savings, and value creation.
  • Establish and communicate procurement policies, standards, and best practices across the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of procurement processes, tools, and technologies to support efficient and effective procurement operations.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and key business partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives and ensure effective procurement support for various departments.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on procurement-related matters.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the procurement team.
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in procurement to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Lead initiatives to implement new procurement technologies and digital solutions to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive the adoption of sustainable and ethical procurement practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies and driving operational excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with procurement software and digital tools.
  • Knowledge of compliance in procurement.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
