Main purpose of the role:

To ensure timely and accurate legal and regulatory filings and deliver best in class service for the US 501(c)(3) Standard Management Clients


Hours:20-25 hours/week, Full-time possible


Works with:

Charity Management Team

Finance Team

IT Department


Reports to:

US Client Services Manager


Key responsibilities:

·      Manage, complete and file the regulatory reporting for US 501(c)(3)s

·      Collect, organise and review financial documents and required information from clients for completion of IRS 990 filings

·      Ensure all federal and state filings are completed on time and entities are compliant and in good standing, working with external vendors as required

·      Setup new 501(c)(3)s and prepare/file necessary paperwork to obtain IRS approval

·      Dissolve 501(c)(3)s and prepare/file necessary paperwork to dissolve

·      Coordinate with Charity Management team members to provide information to clients as required

·      Keep accurate records of time spent for US Standard Management clients

·      Update client records in Zoho, ShareFile and other systems

·      Send out standardised materials when indicated

·      Stay up-to-date on technical aspects of running a US non profit, and also new Chapel & York products, services, and policies

·      Work as part of a growing team with the aim of continuing our success

·      Engage with all Chapel & York social media and marketing as required

The above is not an exhaustive list and there may be other ad hoc duties required as and when

 

 

Key skills and competencies:

·      Demonstrated detailed and extensive knowledge of US charity legal and regulatory requirements

·      Excellent attention to detail

·      Proven ability to multi-task and balance and prioritise a workload to meet immovable deadlines

·      First-hand experience of US banking, mail and the like

·      Excellent communication skills with both internal and external parties of all levels

·      Experience of working in the US nonprofit sector

·      Experience with CRM systems

·      Ongoing interest and engagement with the worldwide Charity Sector

·      Exceptional self-motivation, with the ability to learn quickly and take on tasks outside of skill set

·      Strong organisational and well-developed communication skills,

·      Excellent ability to work independently with remote oversight and under pressure and to set own priorities as appropriate and a capacity to meet deadlines

·      Proven ability to work as part of a global team; occasional communications outside of regular office hours maybe required due to co-ordination across time zones
