Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

We have an opening for an experienced CAD Operator working out of our Buffalo, Rochester or Syracuse office.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Design Staff to prepare engineering contract drawings (CADD drawings) o Draft and develop engineering contract documents as directed from engineering mark‐ups, sketches, detailed drawings, and verbal direction
  • o Revise/update existing engineering contract drawings as requiredo Use CAD software to determine/calculate project construction item quantities
  • Understand and apply client CAD standards and requirements
  • Manage CAD computer files and understand CAD file interrelationships
  • Assist Design Staff in the use of CAD software, including trouble shooting of CAD issues


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma


Drafting/Design/Engineering Technical School Certificate

  • 3+ years MicroStation experience (New York State Department of Transportation and/or New York State Thruway Authority experience preferred), AutoCAD experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel)
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills


Salary Range: $21.65-$28.85/hour*
