A pioneering life sciences company at the forefront of DNA sequencing technology is seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Specialist to join their team You will play a pivotal role in supporting pre-sales activities and acting as the next-generation sequencing (NGS) subject matter expert. You'll collaborate closely with the sales team to translate your deep knowledge into successful customer interactions, presentations, and ultimately, closed deals.


Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the sales team to identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to develop technical content, strategies, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Provide market and competitive intelligence to inform both sales and product development.
  • Contribute to accurate sales forecasting by maintaining relevant records and data.
  • Deliver impactful presentations at seminars, webinars, trade shows, and other events.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets by engaging with existing and potential customers.
  • Offer technical training and mentorship to colleagues and clients.


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of hands-on NGS experience encompassing sample prep, library creation, sequencing runs, basic data analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Bachelors Degree in life sciences, advanced degree in relevant field is a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal communication and relationship building across all levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage a diverse workload and collaborate effectively.
  • Proven ability to create and deliver compelling technical presentations.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% (East Coast)
